New York, NY — The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is an American progressive rock band founded around 1993 by producer, composer, and lyricist Paul O’Neill, who brought together Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli (both members of the American Heavy Metal band Savatage) and keyboardist and co-producer Robert Kinkel to form the core of the creative team. Over 10 million fans have witnessed the Orchestra’s amazing stage show with lights and pyrotechnics set to the music.
Unfortunately, not everyone is a fan.
New York City’s Amanda Hyman, a self-proclaimed, non-binary Social Justice Warrior, is upset by the lack of actual transgender people in the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. She is demanding that the famous performance group take the word ‘Trans’ out of their name.
“I’m so offended by the way they use the term ‘Trans’ like it means nothing,” said Hyman. “There is not even one transgender person in that orchestra, not even the tuba players. They do not use their popularity to lobby for transgender rights. They are total phonies.”
Many fans have taken to social media to defend The Orchestra, saying that liberals have taken this too far.
George Mills, a long-time Orchestra fan and long-haul truck driver spoke to Gish Gallop.
“These damn snowflakes just do not know when to quit, they just keep shitting on everything that I love, like a pigeon after a chili supper,” said Mr. Mills. “Most of them probably do not even know where Siberia even is, this is certainly the deep state’s doing. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Obama’s fault.”
Not seeming to understand the brewing controversy, the Orchestra responded by saying that they will dress up as the opposite sex for their upcoming winter tour. Orchestra frontman Paul O’Neill said, “I’m actually looking forward to it, I have always wanted to do a show in heels.”
