USA — Proving that global politics produces strange bedfellows, many Republican loudmouths are glomming onto the recent terrorist attacks in Paris as evidence that “other” people should not be welcome within “our” borders. And subtlety is not their specialty.
This pretentious outrage about terrorist attacks falls to pieces upon further scrutiny. Once the spin doctors have a scapegoat in mind “other” people the public outrage starts to reveal a personal giddiness. People of all political and religious stripes are appalled at the horrific actions in Paris that left over 120 people dead. Said one Muslim leader, “May God the Almighty bless the victims of this senseless act.” But only the GOP knows how to properly capitalize on the tragedy. Well, them and ISIS, or Daesh. (pronounced ‘douche’)
“Obama wants to let millions of these killers into our country! I say we hang Obama and take our country back from the terrorists,” unleashed one former Speaker of the House via Twitter.
“Al Q’Abari wants to let millions of these killers into our country! I say we hang Al Q’Abari and take our country back from the infidels,” unleashed one Daesh fighter via Twitter.
According to Dr. Ben Carson, one of the presidential front-runners for the GOP, the terrorist attacks in Paris would have “been much worse if the terrorists had taken the time to make sure they all had good directions. Luckily for us, the arabist guys were spread out all over Paris. Really unorganized.”
Some even figured out how to draw a 2nd Amendment argument into this otherwise racially charged discussion. Donald Trump had this to say.
