Gish Gallop on the Street: Cheap Gas

Sairhra Ramun: What is shows all the reasons for oil prices to skyrocket are bs. There is more instability in the major oil producing region than ever before and yet we have low prices. The longer oil prices stay below $100 a barrel the longer it will be before we will make the changes that have to happen if we want a sustainable planet to inhabit for our great grandchildren

Mark Zuckerberg: Yeah, give yourselves "high-fives" at the local Chevron, but then look at your petro-dollar 401Ks you idiots. So as production increases and demand falls, guess what? Your largely petro-dollar funded retirement plans are gonna tank. Soon, you'll be bitching about that in your Facebook status. Just admit it, you hate poor people and want them to pay more for gas so your 401K will go up.

Claire Day: It seems to me we should be taking this chance to invest in other energy technologies why fuel prices are low. I certainly love saving $20.00 at the gasoline pump, but this won't and can't go on forever. Nor should it. Modern history is littered with advances in energy technology. We're at a crossroads and need new and better forms of energy.

Gish Gallop on the Street-Cheap Gas FeaturedGish Gallop wanted to know what Nevada County residents thought of the recent drop in gasoline at the pump as crude oil prices have dropped significantly as stepped-up production in the U.S. and Canada and more fuel-efficient cars have caused output to outstrip demand. China has also taken advantage of low prices to increase its strategic petroleum reserve as a cushion against future oil shocks, which are coming for sure. The inability of OPEC to agree to cut production in an effort to stabilize prices was widely expected, but is contributing to the price crash. Most experts and other dicks believe that the price drop at the gasoline pump is not a good thing. In fact, it signals a global economy that is slipping into a recession due to a lack of demand which can lead to unrest in other countries. Oh, and be sure to check your retire plan.

I am amazed that the USA and Canada are pumping out that much oil. I’m glad that we are sticking it to those dicks at OPEC who like to control the oil supply to maintain the highest profit possible. I hope they run out of oil and end up buying it from the Western hemisphere.
