Gish Gallop on the Street: ISIS Costumes, Too Soon?

Gish Gallop staff often hears that’s “too soon” or “that’s inappropriate” or “sir, can you please step out of your car and walk towards the sound of my voice.” Given that the rise of the Islamic Fundamentalist/Terrorist Group called ISIS or Islamic State of Iraq and Syria has been appearing in the headlines as of late, and given the arrival of Halloween where grown adults will dress up in all sorts of inappropriate attire that certainly would get them arrested at any other time of the year, we decided to ask some people on the street what they thought about ISIS costumes. [that’s quite a run-on sentence, sorry.]

Claire Day
Claire Day: I don’t know if I’d let my kids out wearing these terrorists costumes. Certainly not those orange jumpsuit-victim ones. But I’m sure there will be people out there who will do it.

Cliven Bundy
Cliven Bundy: Why anyone would dress up as the sworn enemy of our freedoms is beyond me. However this is America, and I support the Right of people to be terrorists, if that’s what they choose.

Janet Williams of Cedar Ridge
Janet Williams: I don’t have time for Halloween stuff. Plus all this sugar crap. Last year I went up on Broad Street and some drunk a%#hole grabbed my butt. It was gross. Candy is Gross. So is ISIS.
