Sedona, AZ In an effort to expand its “brand” outside the city limits, the popular New Age, Native American and Crystal purveyor The Sedona Vortex is considering opening a satellite shop in the vacant Cirino’s building on Broad Street in Nevada City.

“It seems like the perfect time to expand our Sedona Vortex ‘wares’ to Nevada City,” commented store owner, operator and white person Ashiko. “It seems the vacancy rates are up and we don’t have to pay to retrofit the building for a restaurant. It’s going to be a pleasure to bring Sedona’s healing energy to Nevada City. They need it.”

Spiritualist and psychic Edgar Cayce claimed that Nevada City, CA might be a spiritual vortex gathering place for the enlightened and a place for those who wish to bring about change in this troubled world. This, of course, has engendered a sense of competition with Sedona, Arizona which also believes it is the spiritual vortex of the known universe.

“I am certainly not happy with anything Sedona invading Broad Street,” said Nevada City supporter Stacy Grant. “And while we welcome everyone of every race, creed, and beliefs, I would much prefer a store with Nevada City stuff in it. Sedona can suck it.”

The Sedona Vortex promises accurate psychic readings from Sedona’s most gifted psychic readers via Skype, a relaxing therapeutic massage, and the finest collection of Sedona crystals, jewelry, and fine gifts.

I think with the ‘Vortex’ arriving in Nevada City,” continued Ashiko, “we can finally put to rest where the spiritual center of the universe really is, can’t we?”

The store plans to open in February, which is known to be the busiest time for Nevada County merchants.
